Content Integrator (Contract)

Location: Dusseldorf area Country: Germany
 

Our client is urgently looking for a Lead Content Modeler.

The responsibilities of the role are as follows:

  1. Develop content models, metadata LOVs, conditional metadata, reuse maps, findability metadata, etc. (software-agnostic)
  2. Develop content standards, including authoring guidance, suggested text, reusable content, variable usage (software-agnostic)
  3. Map content models to software schema (XML or other technical structure)
  4. Help train staff in content modelling, template configuration
  5. Work with technical team to develop data mapping from source to content

The engagement is remote, sporadic travelling to sites may be required. The consultants shall cover the EU time zone. Consultant based in the East Coast must be able to cover the EU time zone at least partially.

Scope of Services

Content Modeling:

Analysis and Recommendations - Assess existing content, identify opportunities for reuse or automation, determine where to standardize, provide recommendations for how best to structure the content

Content Modeling - Develop repeatable structures for documents and components; map content reuse; develop authoring guidance; harmonize and standardize text where applicable; develop taxonomy/metadata model; develop workflow model

Implementation - Map content models to XML schema as appropriate; consult with system integrators to help them configure content models and standards into the system; ensure boilerplate and standardized text adheres to content standards4

Content Transformation and Migration:

Transform content, including tasks such as:

o Structure templates according to content models

o Componentize content according to content models

o Update terminology according to content standards

o Replace redundant content with reused content

Migrate content

o Migrate existing content from Legacy authoring tools into structured content system

Deliverables shall include:

- Content models (spreadsheet)

- Taxonomy/metadata model (spreadsheet)

- Reuse map (spreadsheet)

- Transformation plan that describes the content to transform, the transformation tasks, and milestones for completion (spreadsheet)

- Migration plan that describes the content to migrate, the migration tasks, and milestones for completion (spreadsheet)

- Analysis and recommendations report (document or presentation)
